QU’APPELLE

“Qu’ Appelle”…. French for “Who Calls” is the name chosen for my design.

The Qu’Appelle valley where I have often spent warm summer evenings and cold winter nights gazing up at the majestic diamond filled sky shaped the inspiration for my design.

Reflected in my design is a sky that is at once mystical and all encompassing. A sky that is also reflected in the lakes and valley that holds the Indian legend of Qu’Appelle. Like lovers calling out to each other, diamonds call out to those that love. And the earth hides the secrets of that love. To know that many have gazed at that same sky through the centuries, inspired by those same “diamonds” to create art, look for adventure, to be in awe of the gods and to marvel at nature, to know that the mysteries of nature and love unfold out before us like a fan but as fan only tantalize us with what lays behind is my inspiration.
